Ministering in Cuba!
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations . . .Matthew 28:19
The Request from our Mission Partners
Christians in Cuba are seeing one of the most rapid rates of church growth in the world, third behind China and India. A church-planting movement sweeping across Cuba has created a vast need for more pastors and other trained church leaders. As this movement sweeps across Cuba, many musicians are accepting Christ. In response, Cuban Baptists and an itinerant team of IMB missionaries have developed worship leadership schools to teach musicians how to use their gifts in the church.
In Havana, Cuba, cars from the 1950s reflect Cuban history. Right after the 1959 Cuban revolution, Cuban Baptist churches numbered 210. In the next 30 years, that total increased to just 238. In the 1990s, a church-planting movement began sweeping Cuba; today, there aren’t enough churches to hold all the believers. Baptists in Cuba are known for their zeal for evangelism and a renewal in corporate worship in Cuban Baptists churches is attracting many lost people to services.
Perform evangelistic concerts; teach and train worship leaders in ways to inspire, encourage and improve their ministries; share with fellow musicians to be a witness for Christ and support the work in Cuba.
